Another week closer to the Wine & Dine Challenge 2026 and I’m definitely getting more excited. This week was all about fueling smart, training hard, and checking off the little things that make race prep feel magical.
Meal Prep Magic
This week’s food prep was colorful, comforting, and totally runner-friendly. I leaned into low-GI, meal-prep-friendly dishes that keep my energy steady without the dreaded mid-afternoon crash.
Highlights from the kitchen:
Berry Chia Overnight Oats — quick grab-and-go breakfasts.
Chicken & Veggie Stir Fry — crunchy, colorful, and easy to reheat.
Garlic Herb Chopped Steak + Roasted Veggies — the perfect cozy dinner after a long run.
Pumpkin Spice Greek Yogurt Parfaits — because we’re training, not suffering.
I also portioned everything into meal prep containers and freezer bags, so when the weekday chaos hits, I can just grab, heat, and go.
Training Plans & Sweat Sessions
With only a few weeks left before race weekend, my workouts are getting a bit more focused. Here’s the breakdown I followed this week:
Sunday – Long run (easy pace, focus on intervals)
Monday – Strength training (legs + core)
Tuesday – 5K run (speed play)
Wednesday – Upper body weights + Pilates
Thursday – 10K steady run
Friday – Yoga + stretching day
Saturday – Mid-distance run + light weights
I’m mixing in weights, Pilates, and yoga to keep strong, balanced, and injury-free. The combo keeps my training fun — plus, who doesn’t love an excuse for a good stretch session?
The Magical Checklist
One month out from race weekend, the little details matter just as much as the big runs. This week, my checklist looked like this:
Confirm race waiver and registration info
Try out fueling snacks on runs (no surprises on race day!)
Check shoes for mileage (and start breaking in the backups 👟)
Finalize costume ideas (because sparkle skirts are race essentials ✨)
Book airport transfer & double-check hotel details
Print out packing list for race weekend
Crossing off these items feels SO satisfying — and it makes race weekend way less stressful.
Wrapping it Up
Every week of prep makes me feel more ready, confident, and downright giddy for the Wine & Dine Challenge. The mix of meal prep, training, and checklist-ticking keeps me on track and makes the journey just as fun as race day itself.
Here is the Menu, work out plan and shopping list for the week. Enjoy
